Mom meeting Teddy, the newest addition to the Hock family |
Dear Friends,
Sarah is no longer able to maintain this page, but we wanted to give everyone an update. She is in home hospice care and has lost the ability to move or speak. She is currently using an oxygen machine to help her breathe, which is also helping to keep her alert and comfortable. She has difficulty swallowing and we are carefully monitoring her food and drink intake.
Dad, Christian and I are taking care of her basic needs throughout the day. She also has regular visits from the hospice nurse, massage therapist, and our parish priest.

Your mom has always been an inspiration to me and someone I wanted to live like. She taught me faith, humor and creativity. I loved taking care of you kids, not just because of the two of you, but because I was able to learn so much from your mom. I pray for her and especially for all of you every day. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update Ellie, and please know you are all in our thoughts and our prayers. I love each of you so much!
